1-Where are we located?
We are located in Bethesa on Auburn Avenue right across from Imagination Stage. [map]
2-What is the difference between Beanstalk and other mommy and me classes?
Beanstalk is designed to give you and your child a glimpse into a classroom. Our classroom is filled with developmentally
appropriate materials that you and your child will have fun discovering and playing with. Its basically like going to preschool with your child!
3-I have a child who is only 14 months. Can I take a trial class in your toddler class?
We require that children be at least 16 months and walking. Part of our classroom learning process includes carrying materials back and forth to the shelf. This is an important gross motor skill and at 14 months or earlier most children do not have this ability. It's best to wait a couple of months.
4-What do you do in the mommy and me class?
So much! The class is 90 minutes divided into free play, circle time, work time, snack and story time and ends with children doing "jobs" such as watering the plants, washing a table and more! The best way to see for yourself is to take a trial class.
5-At what age is my child ready for the drop-off program and do they have to be potty trained?
We really don't like to put an "age" on a child's readiness. We like to observe them and then if they are doing most of the tasks themselves they are probably ready. They don't have to be potty trained but they should be close so we can work together towards this goal.
6-Can I bring my newborn to class?
You can bring your newborn to the open play!
7-What if I just want to try the class?
You may take a trial class at any time (provided there is space) and if you would like to join the session in
progress we always pro-rate the cost. If you take a trial at the begining of a session there is a $20 charge, but if
you end up signing up for a full session we refund you the $20 so its a FREE class! Plus if you bring a friend and
they sign up, you get one whole class FREE of charge through our refer a friend program.
8-Can I attend class twice a week?
Yes you can. In fact we recommend it! Repetition is key at this age! Plus you get a 10% discount.
9-What is your snow policy?
We go with Montgomery County for CLOSINGS so if they are closed we are closed as well.
We don't do delays though so if the county is on a delayed schedule, we still meet on time.
10-If my child has the sniffles but no fever can I still bring him to class?
If your child has any symptoms of a cold (sneezing, coughing, runny nose) please keep them at home and email us to do a makeup.
